Edit a PDF without uploading it anywhere
Open the editor, choose your PDF, and edit it directly in the browser tab. The file is read from your disk into your own device's memory and never transmitted — there is no upload step, no account, and no file size or page limit.
If you handle documents that should not sit on someone else's server — client files, medical forms, HR records, anything under a confidentiality obligation — the usual free PDF tools put you in an awkward position. They work well, and they all begin by asking you to hand over the file.
This one does not have that step, because it does not have a server to receive it.
Edit a PDF without uploading it
About a minute, and nothing leaves your machine.
Open the editor
Go to the editor page. It loads as a normal web page and needs no sign-in, no email address and no installation.
Choose your PDF
Click "Choose a PDF" or drag one onto the window. Your browser reads it from your disk. Watch the network tab if you want to confirm nothing is sent.
Make your changes
Add text boxes, highlights, freehand ink, shapes, images, a drawn signature or a stamp. Drag thumbnails to reorder pages, and rotate, delete, duplicate or extract them.
Export and verify
Press Export. A new file is written in memory and reopened for checking before it is offered to you — your original is never modified.
Save it
Your browser saves the result straight to your downloads folder. Nothing was transmitted at any point in the process.
What you can do
- Add content — text boxes in three typefaces, highlights, freehand ink, rectangles, ellipses, lines, images and a signature you draw with a mouse or finger
- Rearrange — drag thumbnails to reorder, rotate any page in either direction, delete, duplicate, extract a selection into a new file
- Combine and divide — merge another PDF in, or split a document into separate files and get them back as a ZIP
- Fill forms — existing form fields are detected and filled, with an option to flatten so values become part of the page
- Stamp and number — design a stamp, apply Bates numbering, add page numbers, headers, footers or a watermark
What it deliberately does not do
It will not edit the original body text. Reflowing existing text inside a PDF breaks layout in ways that are easy to miss and disastrous on a contract. You can cover and retype, or add a text box, but we will not offer an edit that quietly damages your document.
It will not pretend to redact. A filled rectangle over text hides it visually and leaves it fully selectable underneath. That mistake has exposed confidential names and figures in real cases. True redaction is on the roadmap; until it ships, the answer is no.
Why "no upload" matters even when you trust the vendor
It is not really about whether a company is honest. It is about how many places a copy of your document exists, and for how long. Upload it once and it lives in a request log, on a worker node, in an object store, in a backup, and in whatever retention window the terms permit. None of those exist here, because the file was never sent.
For anything covered by a confidentiality clause, professional privilege or health-data rules, that difference is usually the whole question.

Straight answers
Is there a file size limit?
No limit is imposed by us. The practical ceiling is your device's memory. Documents of a few hundred pages are comfortable on a normal laptop; very large scanned files are heavier, and a phone will manage less than a desktop.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There is no account system at all — no email address, no sign-in, no verification step.
Is there a watermark on the output?
No. The exported file contains your document and your edits. Nothing is added, and no page or export limit applies.
Can I use it for confidential or client documents?
That is precisely what it was built for. Because the document never leaves your device, using it does not create a disclosure the way an upload-based service does. Check it against your own policy first — the source is public and the app carries a monitor listing every request the page has made.
Does my original file get changed?
Never. Safe Mode is not a setting: the bytes you opened are never written to. Every export creates a new file, and that new file is reopened and validated before you are told it succeeded.
