Marks an invoice or receipt as settled, so anyone opening the file later can see its status without checking a ledger.

When it is used

Most often put on a supplier invoice once payment clears, on a copy kept for the file rather than the one sent back. Bookkeepers use it to separate what has been dealt with from what is still outstanding.

Worth knowing

Use Paid in full from the Finance pack instead if the amount matters — it carries the date as a round seal, which reads as more formal on a document that might be produced later.

The date fills itself in. It is a live field, not typed text, so the stamp is right every time you place it.
Change anything. Wording, ink, frame, size and the distress that makes it read as physically inked.
